Do test takers need to create an account?

No. Anyone with the link can open a test, enter their name, and start answering. Accounts are only needed for teachers, students and parents who want to build tests or track progress.

What question types can I create?

Mock Tests Creator supports multiple choice, true/false, multiple response, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer questions. Each question can have its own point value and optional explanation.

Can I import questions from Excel, CSV, or Word?

Yes. Upload a spreadsheet or .docx file, map the columns or let Mock Tests Creator detect the structure, preview every extracted question, edit them inline, and then save the quiz.

How does grading work?

Grading happens server-side the moment a submission is received. The browser never sees the answer key, so results are reliable and secure. You get scores, percentages, pass/fail status, and detailed analytics.

Can I prevent cheating?

Yes. You can shuffle questions and options, set a time limit, and enable tab-switch detection. These settings are configurable per quiz in the anti-cheating panel.

Can students resume an unfinished test?

Yes. When a quiz allows it, student progress is auto-saved locally so they can resume an attempt if they leave and come back before the timer runs out.

What is the difference between a Teacher and a Student account?

Both can create and edit tests, import questions and use folders — the difference is who they run tests for. Teachers also invite students and co-teachers, assign tests to classes and see full class analytics. Students build tests for their own revision, take assigned tests, and see their own progress, streaks and badges. Parents use a teacher account at home for one child or a small group.
